PLAYFUL PLAY SPACE MANAGEMENT Torshov
PLAY ENVIRONMENT
STICKS, TWIGS & SNOW IN TORSHOVPARKEN

As part of the playground transformation in Torshovparken, Oslo, in March 2024, we introduced branches and twigs as loose play materials. Collected from park maintenance in Kampen, these green remnants are being tested for their play potential. The initiative is part of our broader ambition to develop a more playful and sustainable approach to playground management in collaboration with the local municipality.

Together with class 5A from Nordpolen School, we organized a den-building workshop to spark ideas and encourage other children to keep creating and engaging with the materials to activate the place.

We are grateful to Sagene bydel, Braathen, and Nordpolen skole for their collaboration.
The project is supported by funding from Sparebankstiftelsen DNB in Norway.
